Debate the interaction between handcraft and digital design
Question and debate the interactions between the apparently antagonist worlds of handcraft and digital production in this masterclass. Consider their common future, mutual influence but also the role of new technologies in product design.
A presentation of projects will be given, followed by a open discussion moderated by Christophe Guberan questioning the future role(s) of digital production and craftsmanship through the concepts of localism, work environment, culture, quality, materiality and aesthetics.
